What is the difference between were and we’re?
Were merupakan bentuk past tense dari are, salah satu bentuk to be yang berfungsi sebagai penghubung dalam kalimat, artinya “adalah”
Contoh kalimat: We were drinking some soda on the park, artinya (di masa lampau) kami meminum soda di taman.
Sedangkan we’re adalah kontraksi dari dua kata yakni we dan are, yang berarti “kami adalah-”
Contoh kalimat: We’re the best student among the 7th graders, artinya kami adalah siswa terbaik di antara siswa kelas 7.
